Celina Mercado

About

My name is Celina Mercado, and I am a second-year graphic design student. I've always had a big interest in art and design. I love everything about it, colour, patterns, textures, shapes, lines... the endless possibilities. My passion for design grows day-to-day and I am constantly working on my skills.

Editing my clothing collection, adding colour to my makeup looks, curating my tattoos to a theme, making beaded jewelry for my loved ones, collecting cute things and trinkets to display in my room, taking pictures of my friends and family... these are all forms of art to me, and I hold them dear to my heart.

education

I am currently enrolled in an advanced diploma program for Graphic Design, also at Humber College. I am in my second year of the program.I graduated from secondary school at Bishop P.F. Reding in Milton, Ontario. I was previously enrolled in a diploma program for Advertising & Graphic Design at Humber College and completed my first year, realizing that it wasn't for me. I'm still proud of myself that I got to experience what that program has to offer and all the things I learned at my time there.

work

I am currently seeking an internship for a role related to graphic design for the Fall 2024 semester. I am hoping that the position will allow me to gain industry experience and knowledge that I will apply to my post-graduate career.I have taken on roles in various customer service and experience-centred environments for the past eight years working part-time. I have learned valuable skills that I can apply to any position I am in, as well as my day-to-day life.
